When a neighbor's ambitious son decides to sell his family's property to a mining operation, the Cartwrights move to put an end to the idea. But the young man sets out for revenge when he learns that they are trying to block the plan.
Trivia: Merry Anders (Virginia Keith) starred in the 1950s TV series, How to Marry a Millionaire. Michael Landon met his future wife Lynn Noe (the blond saloon girl sitting at a table on the left when Adam walks in) on the set of this episode.
