In 1840s California the desperate bandit Joaquin Murrieta (Ricardo Montalban) joins forces with a man named Clay (Earl Holliman) and his henchmen to escort a wealthy woman and her mysterious treasure to San Francisco.

Trivia: Ricardo Montalban starred in the 1980s TV series, Fantasy Island, as well as Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan. Rosey Grier was a star football player for the Los Angeles Rams, he was a regular on the last season of the TV series, Daniel Boone. Earl Holliman played opposite Angie Dickinson in the late 70s TV hit, Police Woman.
