When Jim Redfern (Randolph Scott) and Mike Evans leave Montana for Canada's British Columbia via the Cariboo Trail, they aim to raise cattle and dig for gold but find trouble instead.

Trivia: Randolph Scott was one of the top box office stars of the 1950s. Dale Robertson (Will Gray) starred in the late 1950s TV series Tales of Wells Fargo. Jim Davis (Bill Miller) starred in the 1950s TV series Stories of the Century. The screenplay was written by prolific screenwriter Frank Gruber who created the series Shotgun Slade, The Texan and Tales of Wells Fargo. This movie marked the final screen appearance of George 'Gabby' Hayes who was a well-known sidekick in western movies of the 1930s and 1940s.
