Belle Starr, queen of the outlaws, is murdered by an angry follower. Belle's daughter Rose comes to town to hunt down the killer, but she targets the wrong man.

Trivia: Ruth stars as Rose in her first leading role. She went on to star in many more films, including Alfred Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train (1951). George Montgomery (Marshal Tom Jackson) was known for his many romantic relationships with beautiful women. He was once engaged to Hedy Lamar and was married to television personality Dinah Shore for twenty years.
