Trivia: The Deadly Companions was Sam Peckinpah's directorial debut, he went on to make the classic western movie, "Ride the High Country" (1962). Maureen O'Hara and Brian Keith also co-starred in 1961's The Parent Trap with Hayley Mills. Maureen O'Hara is perhaps best known as one of John Wayne's leading ladies. She starred alongside him in several films including McLintock and Big Jake. Brian Keith is remembered for his starring role in the late 1960s TV series Family Affair, for which he won two Primetime Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe award. He also starred in the western TV series The Texan (1958-1960).
