Trivia: Elsa Martinelli (Belle Starr) was known as the Italian Audrey Hepburn. After moving to New York to pursue a career in modeling, she was discovered by actor Kirk Douglas and soon found herself co-starring opposite him. Italian director Lina Wertmuller received two Academy Award nominations for her work on Seven Beauties (1977), for Best Director and Best Screenplay. She was the first woman ever nominated for the Best Director Academy Award and one of eight Italians to ever receive the nomination. The musical score was composed by Ennio Morricone, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest film composers of all time. He's best known for his work on films like The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly and Once Upon a Time in the West.
