Trivia: Director George Templeton was nominated for two Best Short Film Oscars in 1945 and 1946. He played football at the University of Southern California, where he was on the Freshman team with John Wayne. This movie was shot back to back with High Lonesome on the same location near Marfa, TX with many of the same actors and crew. The Marfa, TX location has been used for many films including Giant (1956) and There Will Be Blood (2007). The Amazon TV series I Love Dick (2016) takes place in Marfa, TX.
