Teresa Wright received three Oscar nominations, winning Best Supporting Actress award in 1942 for her role in Mrs. Miniver. She was married to producer/screenwriter Niven Busch (The Postman Always Rings Twice) when this film was made. Lew Ayres was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for Johnny Belinda (1948), his second wife was the actress Ginger Rogers.
